The concept came from a phrase mentioned by the Greek poet Euripides, ‘The tongue is mightier than the blade…’. The fact that inspired me the most was that this phrase was reproduced and recycled many times in a way through later artists, having the same sharp meaning no matter how many years past from the first time it was mentioned. In this work I juxtapose this sharp sting with detail cast of the inside of my mouth as the ‘weapon’ of the human being. One thing if not the most important that our species is leaving behind is the concept of our ‘language’.
